Use this space to share ideas for ways any of the Cool Tools could be used in your curriculum.
I have been researching the SlideShow tools and these tools are MUCH better than PowerPoint! There are approximately 18 different sites that allow the user to do many things. For instance, if you were doing a slideshow about a sporting event, how it looked, how it was organized... you could take pictures from your facebook site or anyother social networking site and plug those right in. You can also easily add audio, which is something PowerPoint doesn't do easily. One website allows you to take your pictures from Flicker and implement them into a slideshow, which would be great for graduating classes and the like. The site I enjoyed the most was www.slide.com because it allowed the user to access social websites for images and videos and was relatively easy to use.
Will post more later.

I really like the format and availability of SlideRocket. I think it is really nice that you can go in and create your slide show and then choose to share it and access it from anywhere. it makes it nice that you can import a PowerPoint slide show but I also love that you can work collaboratively on presentations. I think it would be a great idea to use this in the elementary classroom to have groups share their ideas from lessons or also as a great tool for the teacher to post on the class web page.
I think a unit that would be great for elementary students could showcase their learning of humanities but also incorporate art and science. I think breaking the class into small groups and having each creatively teach an element/benchmark of health that allows for open exploration and collaboration on they part would work well with a slide show. What do you guys think?

Might be a good idea. What grade are you thinking about?

I think this is the perfect forum to create a cross-content/grade level activity. You can utilize so many different tools (audio, imaging, research capabilities, etc.) to create a project that would use high level thinking and a finished product that could be really quite impressive.
